“Asking what makes someone successful is like asking which ingredient makes a recipe taste good.

It’s not any single ingredient.

It is the combination of many ingredients in the right proportions and in the right order.”

James Clear

If you’re a songwriter, musician, mix engineer or mastering engineer, in fact any creative, who has made it to the last 3rd of the Dunning Krueger curve you know this is true.

If you’re in the first 2 thirds you can fast track your way through by:

  1. Knowing that you don’t know everything.
  2. Deliberately practising every day to learn something new.

The Takeaway: Go and deliberately practise your craft … every day.
